HABAGAT 2013

As I woke up Sunday morning, I was lazy to go off the bed. The weather tempted me to sleep more. It rained hard that day and it did not stop until evening. After the West B Campus Assembly which was held in Amoranto Theatre, the whole group (YFC San Beda College) decided to have dinner together. We ate at Manang's Chicken at Tomas Morato. After that we rode a jeepney up to Welcome Rotonda. Its raining hard, and unluckily I lost my umbrella since the General Assembly, but good thing I was with the awesome people who let them share their umbrella with me.

It took us several minutes before we decide which path we're going to take. We're pretty sure that Espana was already flooded but we still decide to take its path going to Quiapo. When we arrived in Quiapo, its still flooded that's why we decided to take a tricycle ride up to Isetann. When we got there, its hard for us to find a jeepney that can accommodate us because all were full. We waited for almost 15-30 minutes and PG! There's a jeep already!

When we arrived at Legarda, I was shocked that the water level is above the ankle already and its not passable (if you're going to walk). Three of us decided to took the pdcab, but its useless since the water level is higher than the pdcab that's why our legs was also wet and woah! The fare is 50 pesos already!

As I arrived home, I immediately checked the social networking sites regarding the suspension of classes, and yes, our school suspended classes and just re-scheduled our midterm examination that was scheduled Monday.

And still now, we don't have any classes because the weather is over reacting that its still raining hard everyday especially during evening. Some areas in the Metro are still flooded and there are many families in the evacuation areas like schools and churches. Maybe tomorrow, Friday, our midterm examination will push through. I pray that as I wake up, Mr. Sunshine will shines his rays again that will show hope to all the people affected by the heavy rains.

Our place was not already flooded, but I pray that the floods all around Luzon will subside not later than this week. We, Filipinos, despite of calamities, the good thing is we never forget to SMILE. Pray for Philippines! Pray for Filipinos!
